@StubHub Just ruined my World Cup. @TeamStubHub
honestly don't even know what to do right now.
Months ago, I bought 4 tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup Round of 32 match in Miami. At the time, we didn't even know who was going to be playing. We just knew we wanted to be there. I paid around $600 per ticket because I trusted StubHub's guarantee and figured everything was set.
Today, ONE WEEK before the match, StubHub emails me saying my order has been canceled.
That's it.
No comparable replacement tickets. No real solution. Just, "Here's a refund." (Which I haven't even received yet.)
The problem is this wasn't just about the tickets.
My group already booked flights, an Airbnb, rental cars, took PTO from work, and planned this entire trip around this game. We're supposed to leave in 4 days, and now we're scrambling because StubHub waited until the last possible minute to tell us we don't have tickets anymore.
If they had canceled months ago, it would've sucked, but at least we would've had time to figure something out. Waiting until a week before the event leaves us with basically no options unless we want to spend thousands more on resale prices.
I genuinely don't understand how this is acceptable. If you're going to advertise a ticket guarantee, there should be an actual guarantee not just a refund after people's travel plans are already locked in.
I know this is happening to others but I just wanted to share. I am hoping for a miracle because my lifelong dream has been to see Messi play, and this might be the last time I get this opportunity in person.
@NavyYardNats@MLB@MLBPA@chelsea_janes The dodgers make back all that money in a season easily. Maybe if the Nats bought players we wanted to see the they too would make good revenue, get better sponsors, better tv deals and not play in an empty stadium every game
@ianoland@rmnb selling 2 great seats in section 104 for the rangers tomorrow on NYE! Asking 175 each! These are way cheaper then anything in the lower bowl on Ticketmaster!
