@Red13Rowdy@ErikRuby Cool. Let him practice. Run scout. Be around everyday. He can lift, training table, etc. a person who gambles on his own team shouldn’t be allowed to play on the field. I don’t care if you put a C on his jersey to help his feelings. He shouldn’t play
Pretty sure that @NicoleAuerbach is on the same page with what you are referencing. The difference here is that this dude's offense has to do with the sanctity of the game. In the past, this has been a hard line. Apparently not any more. I will find it entertaining in a game where he throws a pick and fumbles in the first half and everyone is trying to figure out if he bet the under
@Topherwhitt@EZlyDistractd@Brooks_UGA Totally 2 different situations. But, despite the consequences that you reference it STILL keeps happening. Therefore, its hard to take your AD's comments seriously.
@BrennanBaxt True. Which is way the AD’s statement is so ridiculous. If Sorsby was a backup middle blocker on the volleyball team who gambled on their own games, TT would have distanced themselves in a second. But not for QB1
I am too lazy to do this. But someone should do an FOIA request & make sure than anyone in the TT athletic program during the ADs tenure that had an addiction problem, known mental issues or athletes that caught a charge, got this kind of heartfelt support from the Athletic Dept. I mean ones that weren’t going to be QB1
@HtownIsWestTX@AriWasserman No comment on NCAA lawyers Put him on the team then. Give him a jersey, clipboard, let him run scout, put a C on his jersey. If that is what he needs great. Him being allowed to be QB1 is ridiculous.
If the kid was a redshirt TE that may get a chance to play on special teams TT cuts ties. No doubt. This is all because TT believes QB1, and the money they paid him, can win games. Literally no other athlete in a team sport that bet on their own team has gotten a two game slap on the wrist.
I like your post and get it. But I wonder if they would be doing the same thing for a redshirt OG who is 4th on the depth chart as they are for a multi million dollar QB1. We will never know the answer. But not sure they would want all the heat if it really wasn’t about winning
@hoopsmcspankin If Sorsby were a 3rd string offensive guard, I bet TT wouldnt be going to bat and supporting him like this. The bet on him as QB1 and that is why this is going the way that it is. The moral compass shouldnt change
Oh Jason..come on. If I know that my game plan is to really assert the run and that our passing game is going to be a dink and dunk based on film, then I know a lot about unders and player props. You are really good at what you do...this is not the right topic to take this side on
