@Winnie_xplorer D is so weird. That's an entirely different vantage point. B is too closed in. A is ok, but C gives the best accurate vantage point, so definitely C.
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode By the way, I'm actually an American. However, I have done an https://t.co/IkVWoe2xRj DNA test and their results suggests that 90% of my DNA is of West African origin, and at least 40-45% of that swath came back as "Nigerian", so there's that ๐๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode It's absolutely applicable throughout the continent. Ghana has been getting a lot of attention due to tourism & because of some of the moves being made by the Mahama administration, but still a LOT is needed here. I would also love to see a liberated Africa in my lifetime.
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode Well yes, when I mentioned positive role models, I was talking about the elders within the community that have the knowledge and wisdom to pass down to the younger generation. And yes, even though I'm not Nigerian, Happy Independence Day to the giants of Africa, Naija ๐๐ฅณ
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode Very true. Gotta teach them early. That requires investment into education systems, as well as positive role models to look up to and to set a good example.
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode I think in seeking out like-minded people within the community, ideas can be exchanged. One of those ideas should be how to hold local officials accountable and put pressure on them to make changes, otherwise the community can pick someone to run against them come election time.
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode We certainly are in dire times, in Nigeria, in Ghana, and across the diaspora. There's no quick, easy, overnight answer. I think we have to continue to be the examples that we seek and continue to seek out these important conversations with the people around us.
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode There is, and there's probably more of us than we realize. The issue is trying to find like-minded people and coming together as a collective.
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode We have them in the Sahel states. Could be other ones to follow. I heard that Senegal also kicked the French out. Ghana is making small progress, though still a long way to go for them. But yes, the US stay lurking for those who get "a little too uppity" ๐
@GbolahanOla_26@ikhanvbode I only asked a legitimate question, based off of factual history regarding US intervention globally, as well as by their Western cohorts, mainly Britain and France. That's not being a conspiracy theorist.
@sambo_gideon@ikhanvbode Any forward thinking African leader seeking to buck the imperialists should be considering this option. We see what happened in Venezuela, and when the US bombed Nigeria already. We see what Iran is going through. The US has overthrown leaders countless times.
@kenlamarhill@ToomsBB_ She would be signing second place if she does that. Ain't no way I would take the best player of the season to final 2. That's just dumb.
@PipiAsiya I don't go to church, but if a friend invited me, I would probably go, as long as it's not extra early. Upon seeing this guy, I probably would think to myself "oh, this pastor looks VERY different from the rest" and "this might be interesting" and proceed to listen ๐๐พ๐๐คญ
