.@NJSpotlightNews: “In housing court, we generally see over 80% of landlords represented. Three percent of tenants are,” said @EphrosJake, chair of Right to Counsel Jersey City.
Let’s FLIP the scales and expand tenant protections with Right to Counsel!
The concept of environmental racism refers to the disproportionate burden of environmental hazards on marginalized communities. Environmental racism is rooted in systemic inequalities and discrimination, including redlining, and housing segregation.

At the #Hoboken City Council last night: https://t.co/07T38FvWYI
❎You can’t say you’re against #immigrant family separation and then reward county politicians.
❎You can’t say you’re for pedestrian safety and stay quiet about Councilperson DeGise’s abuse of power. #ResignDeGise
Finally, the Hudson County government moves towards a safer streets plan. We must stay vigilant so they actually follow through. Among the traffic victims year, over year:
* 11-year-old George Gonzalez, 2016
* 79-year-old Peggy McGeary, 2019
* 83-year-old Judy Baller-Fabian, 2021
deflection. no hate speech happening here. the people are in the flesh asking for accountability. Using words like "this culture" and "the mob" is some right wing spin... keep showing us who you are Hudson County <3 #jerseycity
Dear Gov Murphy, on tonight's show with @NancySolomon2 , could you talk about your views on politicians & ethics? Specifically to address concerns that corruption, cronyism, and abuse of power is alive and well statewide & Jersey City

After a ribbon cutting, I asked Jersey City Mayor @StevenFulop if Councilwoman @Amy_DeGise should resign & he said his stance is the same as @GovMurphy's.
“Let the court system play it out, the legal process, & then we’ll take it from there."

Talk about erasure @CNNnewsroom — @yuhline and Dan Goldman are neck and neck too close to call in #Ny10 and the CNN headline is “Goldman Leads Mondaire Jones in 10th District”
#WTF???

So the County Commissioner, who voted to profiteer from immigrant family separation, decided to speak at the Ecuadorian heritage celebration at #Hoboken City Hall… and I had a few words for him too. #NeverForget
Silence to this day from our complicit city council is💔. To call people (and there's a whole lot of us) wanting accountability and basic human decency from their elected official a lynch mob... 😧big yikes. not a good look @JerseyCity@StevenFulop
Jersey City Councilmember Amy DeGise continues to face calls to resign after her alleged involvement in a July hit-and-run, now including an online petition that has amassed thousands of signatures

After avoiding it for 2.5 years, I began feeling symptoms & tested positive for #COVID19 this morning, 3 days after Wednesday's #JerseyCity Council meeting, despite masking. @JerseyCity@StevenFulop we shouldn't have to get sick to participate in democracy. Hybrid meetings NOW!
To everyone who showed up to a council meeting for the first time tonight in Jersey City… I’m sorry you had to, but thank you for engaging. The more ppl participating the more we can do together for our city. Corruption thrives on apathy.
We are in very serious danger here in Jersey City. Trying to keep people from speaking at council meetings, believing those in certain circles are entitled to an elected office despite breaking the law, keeping silent when you know it’s not right...what kind of a city do we want?
