@Pestily@hyper_rat I don't think the balance can go negative, so if that's the case they could have used an unsigned integer (only positive values) and that'd allow for a max balance of 4,294,967,295. If they took advantage of 64 bit computers they could make the max balance 18.4 quintillion.
@sensei_yami Legacies are heavy burdens, the real strength in life is living for yourself and what you care for. Any legacy left behind is a bittersweet goodbye. Live as best you can, Yami, everything else will fall into place.
@sensei_yami I have gerd and something that can help the acid problem is to modify your diet to reduce the amount of fats, acidic foods, and overly sugary foods you eat. Fats generate acid, acidic foods increase overall acidity, and sugars cause bloating and pressure. Best to you!
I'm never flying @AmericanAir again... I used to fly American Airlines a lot and stopped when the price got too high, so then I started using @SouthwestAir . I booked American for my return to college and got screwed twice and potentially counting...

@sensei_yami I'm sorry Yami, it's essentially just like the Japanese Proverb, βThe nail that sticks out gets hammered downβ. Society has always had an interest in keeping conformity so the status quo doesn't change and power stays where it has been.
@TheInfiniteDude @lily_plantgirl @paolini Isn't there any concern with the loss of emotion and energy put into a piece of art? I understand how nice it would feel to just have the art done, but then human artists would be no more. I don't see it as much enhancing human artists as much as replacing, which I'm not for.
@TheInfiniteDude @lily_plantgirl @paolini Okay, if we say that all of the art that the AI model is trained on has been obtained legally and with the consent of the artists, how will an artist using the model thrive? By plugging terms into the model and training it to your preferences, it isn't really the artist doing it.
This is pretty interesting, I hadn't thought about AI developing in such a way as to deceive in order to gain a reward that it didn't earn. I know that AI deception is a pretty big deal but it's surprising how we are seeing it happening now. I'd give this thread a look if curious
At OpenAI a lot of our work aims to align language models like ChatGPT with human preferences. But this could become much harder once models can act coherently over long timeframes and exploit human fallibility to get more reward.

@TheInfiniteDude @lily_plantgirl @paolini The AI that make art are being trained using real artist's work without artist's consent. The AI is not creating, just reproducing. AI has its uses but art is not one of them, you might as well have told artists to go die in a hole by supporting AI art.
@linusgsebastian Looks like all the downvotes I got on reddit have been proven wrong. LTT has never given me a reason to doubt their claims or lose faith.
@linusgsebastian Great Job LMG! Get these products out the door and watch the negativity crumble. I look forward to seeing LMG's future and I hope you prove all the haters and GN wrong about this overblown ordeal people have conjured.
