I feel the purpose of my initial comment has been widely misinterpreted lol
Long term health is the goal.
And I agree obesity and diabetes is a larger long term health risk than short term medication use.
However, if individuals rely solely on medication for weight loss, they will lack the knowledge, skills, and habits it takes to maintain their new body long term.
The goal here is to help people get healthy and stay that way. I’m open to using any tool necessary, within the right context.
