Thank God @Apple raised those prices, or they would have never survived... they only made 29 BILLION dollars in profit last quarter. For once, they could have been the good guys in all of this, but they chose not to.
@MuratMgrb@Raspberry_Pi Gotta love the AI bubble! All this is because of fabricated demand, which they're now talking about reselling because they have too much of it. We are getting so screwed; it should be illegal. Raspberry Pi Foundation is just as much a victim as its users.
@JensenHuang I won't hide the fact that I was often not a big fan of the words that came out of Mr. Huang in the past, but lately, and in this particular case, bravo. 👏👏👏
@Apple@Affirm I understand the prices went up because of the DRAM cartel *ahem*, but why don't you help your consumers by dropping the financing rate a bit? If prices went up 28%, you could drop your rates by 3-5%. You'd still make more money anyway. Show you care!?
@elonmusk@yacineMTB If only Anthropic shared your views. They're just evil. They're good at code, but that's it... Besides, what makes them stand out is that they stole from others. They also charge way more than anyone else. It's a big "meh" for me. I'll pay for many, but never for their models.
Apple is a $4 trillion corporation.
It's spending $310 billion on stock buybacks.
It made $112 billion in profits last year.
It's CEO, Tim Cook, is worth $2.9 billion.
Cook made $74 million last year.
Apple is screwing you over because it is addicted to greed - period.
@MKBHD CAD $3,000 to go from 48GB to 128GB. They're greedy. It doesn't cost them that much. I've been saving for months, and now I'll just stay on Windows. Apple has lost me as a new customer.
Wow, @Apple is now charging CAD $3,000 to add 80 GB of RAM to the Macbook Pro. No matter how much you want to use the RAMpocalypse as an excuse, it doesn't cost that much. They are once again greedy and insulting their user base's intelligence. I'd rather stick with Windows 11.
Been saving for months to get a Macbook Pro, and now it costs over $2,000 CAD more than yesterday. I hate all of this. It's impossible to cheer for this AI bubble crap at this point. We can't afford anything anymore. It needs to stop.
