Today we celebrate the person who looked at a city full of quiet builders and decided they deserved a room of their own. ọmọeKOH exists because you believed young Lagosians take each other seriously, and you were right.

What you’ve built in such a short time is genuinely rare. Not just an event, not just a brand, but a community that people now call home. Over a thousand people felt that on Saturday, the 9th of May, 2026. Thousands more will feel it in the years to come. That’s your doing.

But beyond the work, thank you for the way you do it. The care, the conviction, the refusal to cut corners on the things that matter. The people around you see it, even when you don’t say it out loud.

May this year bring you everything you’ve poured into others. May the vision keep growing. And may you take, at least for today, a moment to be proud of what you’ve started.

Before marriage, my friend was paying ₦700k yearly for his one-bedroom apartment.

A few months after the wedding, his wife complained that the place was too small and uncomfortable. She wanted a bigger space.

They eventually found a 3-bedroom apartment for ₦1.5 million per year, but the landlord demanded two years’ rent upfront.

My friend took a loan from his office and ended up paying about ₦3.6 million in total, including rent and agent fees.

Met this girl after church service, we vibed, exchanged contacts, went on a dinner date, She said she’s not ready for games that she want something that will leads to marriage & I agreed, We dated for almost a year, then She suggested we should do traditional introduction & met her parents, we did the engagement, and wedding preparations were ongoing, Days before my bachelor’s night, my friend was on Tinder looking for a h00kup and found my fiancée’s active profile with bio “here for serious business Dm” with recent pictures, I Confronted her she confessed she used to do h00kups for money due to financial issues but stopped when we met, I was disappointed after spending heavily on introduction and weeding preparations. She begged, involved her parents, then My parents advised we do full medical checkups first, if she’s okay medically then I can decide what to do, Went to an advance hospital and the medical results says she has a very weak uterus, which gave her extremely low chance of getting pregnant, With this I ended the relationship completely & I was disappointed.

Today makes it 2years that the young lady medical doctor Dr Vwaere Diaso was killed by a faulty elevator in the state-owned Lagos Island General Hospital.

That elevator has NOT been fixed since that time till now!!!

A bit of background:
Dr Diaso was a medical doctor working as a house officer on 1August2023 in Lagos Island General Hospital when she got trapped in the elevator. The elevator crashed and there was cries for help. For a whole 40 MINUTES, there was ZERO help for this dying doctor trapped in the elevator.

After almost an hour,
She was gotten out of the elevator only for the rescuers to find out there was NO blood in the hospital.

Many medical doctors have raised an alarm about that particular elevator in that hospital for many years but the government paid ZERO attention until this elevator killed a doctor.

Dr Diaso has only just completed medical school before she met her painful ghastly end while working in govt hospital ran by lunatic incompetent animals.

As I write this tweet,
Today marks 2 years after this calamity that has claimed this young doctor’s life.

NOBODY was punished for it.
NOBODY was prosecuted for it.
NOBODY has been sacked for it.
The Lagos state government covered it up!

THE ELEVATOR IS STILL FAULTY TILL NOW.

The ONLY thing that these lunatic insensitive animals in the government understand is public shaming. They will never act right except and unless someone carries a megaphone to publicise their moronic incompetence that leads to wanton preventable loss of human lives.
