This is only an issue if your game is like a movie. Give the player choice and customization and some exploration freedom with dope rewards and players will buy. OH and game play must be fun. No, pressing a button during a cut scene doesn't count.
Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, says game developers need to adapt as more people watch streams and videos instead of buying and playing games themselves.
Hamaguchi made it clear that he supports content creators, saying, “I fully support streaming culture.”
“As times change, I believe the way we design games also needs to evolve.”
He has previously described the trend as a bit of a crisis for RPGs, as some players may feel they have already experienced a game by watching someone else play.
@Critical_Scribe@iam_KeyC@Sebbywebz You can only have detailed arguments 1 on 1 and with people who want to engage honestly. Sebby is doing a 1v 100 and most people don’t engage with him honestly and therefore he just speed runs it.
