Congratulations to senior captain Maren Friday for being named winner of the Mandi Schwartz Scholar Athlete of the Year Award!

Maren is the first Union women’s hockey player to win the Mandi Schwartz Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.

She is one of the few Union Mechanical Engineering students on track to graduate with a 4.0 GPA along with a resume full of accomplishments.

Maren leads defenseman all time in goals scoring her 13th goal of her career on September 27 at Robert Morris. Maren, with 47 points, is on track to become Union’s all time points leader among blueliners. The record currently is 49 points.
