Our motivation for success should be established on the foundation of what Christ accomplished for us to live a glorious life. Pursuing success based on another man's accolades attracts the spirit of envy posing a threat of walking out of divine purpose.

Apostle Grace Lubega
IDOLATRY: WHO OR WHAT IS LORD OVER YOUR LIFE?
2 Kings 17:16 (NLT): “They rejected all the commands of the Lord their God and made two calves from metal. They set up an Asherah pole and worshiped Baal and all the forces of heaven.”
In the Bible, we see that the Israelites turned away from God and worshipped, among other things, Baal, a false god. The name Baal means “lord” or “master.” Their sin was not just about bowing before a statue; it was that they gave their hearts, time, and trust to something other than the Lord God of heaven and earth.
Today, one may not physically bow before idols, but many things can become our modern-day Baal—our “lord.”
Ask yourself: What or who have you given your heart to? What or who do you turn to first when you are stressed, sad, or bored? What or who do you feel you cannot live without?
Is it your phone, the first thing you reach for when you wake up and the last thing you check before bed? Is it social media, where you spend hours scrolling, comparing, and seeking validation? Is it a Netflix series or video games, things that consume your time but do not nourish your spirit? Perhaps it is even a relationship that has taken the place of God in your heart.
These things may not appear to be idols, but if they capture your attention more than God does, they have become your lord.
God does not want to compete for your heart. Take a moment today to identify what or who may have become “lord” over your life, and surrender it to the Lord in prayer. Make deliberate changes for example spending less time on your phone and choosing to spend more time in the Word. Be intentional about making God first.

PRAYER: Loving Father, You are the Alpha and Omega of my life. Thank You for opening my eyes to recognize anything that may have taken Your place. I desire that nothing else rule over me, including my phone, social media, or any form of entertainment. I choose You as my only Lord and commit to keeping You first in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Agape, the unconditional love of God, is the way out of envy. When you carry a heart of love, you will pray for the success of the people you envy. Deliberately bless and do good to them. You shall attract what you celebrate.

Thank you Apostle Grace Lubega.
Thank you @Phanerookampala.
When Apostle Grace told you adding anything to God tantamounts to idle worship, the words were many.
See how the Pope himself vindicates him.

Phaneroo Sunday Service 368 expounded on walking in Christ. Through His death and resurrection, our old man was crucified, and we now walk in the newness of life. In this reality, we choose to know nothing except Christ and all He accomplished for us at the cross, to the glory of His Kingdom. Hallelujah!
Please join us this Sunday, 9th November 2025 for #PhanerooSundayService 369
You are blessed.
