@Agrippa_Inv Great read. The biggest thought I had when reading this is that the boys have done the hardwork securing the power. But does the cost of having the Roberts brothers outweigh their value. We could just bring in a CEO to run the business at a fraction of the cost
@tothewolves1099@TheBigDegen What exactly do you think is happening with their compute? The world is compute constrained but somehow noone is going with Iren because they are Iren? All available compute is being monetised
@EndicottInvests You tell me which is smarter deal making? Giving away equity unconditionally or linking delivery of chips to vesting of equity. Let's be real here the way Nvidia is investing they a probably in active talks with all data centres including Hut, Cifr, wulf etc
@daniel_koss I think you're post is presumptuous. How do you know it wasn't iren that made the vesting of equity conditional on performance? That sounds like smarter deal making to me to incentivise performance / secure chips and get cash rather than just giving away equity
@alexcompounds@FransBakker9812 To be honest their bad PR just creates more temporary price dislocations which means more buying at under valued levels which I can live with. Obviously needs to change at some point but I'm happy for now
@FransBakker9812@alexcompounds My view as well is its not really Irenโs fault as far as we can tell. The GPU delays are an uncontrollable. In the scheme of things this is just a minor speed but time will tell. However, iโm still happy to take this investment as the growth opportunity looks well in tact.
@bitcoinbutcher1@BenBajarin Because bare metal is not very differentiated it is more susceptible to commodity style competing on price methods of pricing
