Today, the Orlando Police Department remembers Officer George DeSalvia, who was killed in the line of duty on February 3rd, 2000, while backing up another officer during a traffic stop.

The suspect who shot him was arrested following a manhunt and later found guilty of first-degree murder of a police officer.

Officer DeSalvia’s service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
