I grew up on games like Runescape. Now we have the rs-sdk which provides an interface for AI agents to act in the classic MMORPG.
The project was built to research how agents can strategize in complex environments. But I'm also finding it an entertaining way to bring back some nostalgic childhood memories with much smaller time commitment!
Instead of spending hours in front of the screen grinding away for virtual levels, I can direct my agent with the high-level goals, and check back in later to see how it has done and finetune instructions accordingly. Fun and educational!
Sometimes when I have a spare moment in the evening, I put something like this into ChatGPT and just marvel at the result:
generate a scene from a high fidelity pixel art game about knights jousting
Sugar on Apple TV is such a vibe. Minor spoilers: how do you come up with a detective noir that introduces a core sci-fi element at the end of the first season and it somehow works? Love it!
Building my infinite canvas site like a product #1: Guiding attention
Without a fixed layout, it's easy for every detail in the viewport to compete for attention.
You want the visitor to know what's explorable without overwhelming them with detail.
So I introduce progressive disclosure with:
- sections in the viewport peripherals fade at 30% opacity
- groups like "Interests" and "Find me" are collapsed by default
@michaelmicasso Oh yeah there's a ton of junk to sift through too. But there's a ton of junk in general, not limited to cc0.
Your curation is appreciated 🙏
