@Cinderace1275 @joel_dowell @Stealth40k And that's fine. I love my Switch 1 too and it was great playing all the games I played on it for over 8 years, but saying it's better is objectively wrong in most aspects. The two aspects that are indeed better are screen contrast and battery life on my OLED. Otherwise, no
@Cinderace1275 @joel_dowell @Stealth40k Better value, possible. Better? Absolutely not. The Switch 2 is objectively better in every single aspect compared to the launch version of the Switch 1
@SnekMedu@Stealth40k Age of Calamity runs better by default. Sure, the max resolution and framerate aren't increased, but they do become very stable, as is the case in many Switch 1 games thag had performance issues
@itcheetastee@EDMIRE2k@Stealth40k And Switch 2 had Donkey Kong Bananza and Metroid Prime 4. And before you say "but Prime 4 is a Switch 1 game" I remind you "but BotW is a WiiU game"
@realtechwave@OatmealDome That's not an issue per se. The Switch 1 game is running at Switch 1 resolutions and the game is hard locked at 30 fps. The Switch 2 won't change that unless the game is ipdated for it
@ImNutOriginal@JuniThePuny@OatmealDome Both, yes. I actually tried it yesterday. Some alpha effects turned into black squares covering everything and at one point the game simply crashed
@cozyboyjohan@JuniThePuny@OatmealDome Not at all. I literally tried playing it yesterday thinking they might have fixed it already. FPS was fine, but at one point some alpha effects turned into black squares covering everything and at one point the game simply crashed
@KirPinkFury Don't forget Splatoon 3 getting 4K@60 for FREE
They also made the background jellyfish animations in stages run at full 60 fps and they also removed some minor bg details from the Switch 1 version bc the Switch 2 runs it too well the S1 players were at a slight disadvantage
