Trump has put broader and deeper tariff's on Canada than China. Canada's % of trade with China is less than the US. $$$ talk. So it's Trump who's *actually* moved closer to China than to Canada (it's closest and most loyal ally). Should we not diversify?

@DougHMcLachlan@thevoyageurs@footy_prime Something like that:
End with "A Little Hell" so people can latch on easily.
People could have fun making easily different ones up.
Al-phon-so’s on the run
Left foot's like a gun
Raise a little hell
Been working with Agentic development for well over a year now. There are two things I tell people over and over again:
1. Spend triple the time on your docs (PRD, ADD, Implementation) than you think you need
2. Build something every day. Software dev is still a craft.
Cardiologist wins 3rd place at Anthropic's hackathon. Out of 13,000 applications. Built in 7 days by Michał Nedoszytko MD. Coded day and night - in the hospital, in the cloud, while flying from Brussels to San Francisco.
A few years ago, it would have been impossible for a doctor to build this alone in just a couple of days. AI changed that.
The project is called https://t.co/wAliajqjVF. It is an AI agentic care platform for patients. Including reverse AI scribe it is a companion that guides the patient from the moment they leave the doctor's office.
Powered by the massive context window of Opus 4.6, it allows patients to explore their full medical history, connected devices, Evidence Based resources and external data sources — all in one place.
Today, the barrier to entry has vanished; even a practicing physician can build an application from scratch.

@colin_dunlap I don’t know man. You have a billionaire as president and the wealthiest cabinet in history. Seems a little ingenuous that this is the one “rich person” you decide to call out for their views. But sure you do you.
@MarkReid42 Then blame Harper for making the Conservatives unelectable. He marginalized PC members during minority gov'ts and ostracized us during the majority. So we left. Without a centrist pull in the party, you cannot win a majority in Canada.
@TheoFleury14 As a once longtime Conservative member and riding board member. We “red torys” or socially liberal fiscal conservatives were slowly marginalized then pushed out by Harper with his majority. The party can’t win without us and you can’t court us. So…. Here you are. That’s a fact
@RJtheCableGuy@GooseKillerinAU@realityof1984@David_J_Bier It’s the tactic that’s at issue. how does a civilian know these aren’t fake agents until after they comply?
Criminals will copy it
Civilians will hesitate to stop
Real cops will face more resistance
This makes law enforcement less safe, not more.
@GooseKillerinAU@realityof1984@David_J_Bier But I am curious. Without an official vehicle would this would not be a method almost any criminal could use to carjack, hijack trucks, etc.
It would seem to be a hugely bad president to set for policing. No?
@econofreight@Tamara268998213@Graham_Mark_E@D_ByersArtist It's an option. Some people may want that. But that is what "puts us on the menu" to get eaten. Our sovereignty is not real. We must take whatever deal the US offers. We have no leverage. The US is the ONLY table, so we would in fact be, as you say, a "colony". Not a nation.
@Tamara268998213@Graham_Mark_E@D_ByersArtist If you’re talking about as a nation that is actually aligned with Carney’s Davos statement. If we are reliant on a single power (hegemon) We have the performance of sovereignty, not actual sovereignty.
So you we a choice. Be on the menu or find new tables.
@InTheNameOfPun@Graham_Mark_E@D_ByersArtist@BeingJWood Ok. So let’s say he and I are leftists. To get that off the table.
The point being made - Canada and USA were SO CLOSE that most Canadians felt we were BFFs. But it appears that a major portion of the US saw us as nothing more than a vassal state. Like Belarus to Russia. True?
@Fr3dFlntst0n3@AmazingZoltan@MackinnonNeilP I wouldn’t say they are opposite.
Classical liberalism and Conservatism both agree on small government. The split is around the role of individuals vs institutions. 2A is actually a liberal ideal to support freedom. Conservatives ideals on exec authority to support social order
@Roman_Baber Exactly how did he trash the US? Re read the speech three times. I can’t find it. I asked grok to point it out too. And nope. Not there. Perhaps you can point us to it?
