Reflecting on pastoring for 25 yrs:

With a therapist, I cataloged all the folks that ghosted me (almost 100 over the yrs).

Spend time in their homes, baptize their kids, cry with them in tragedy, counsel them through crisis.

Then vamoosh they're gone. It's a painful calling.

Yesterday a girl at My son’s school posted a shooting threat on TikTok. She was expelled and arrested.

Today a boy was arrested and expelled for a bomb threat.

Pray for our kids. Pray for parents. And don’t ever become resigned to thinking this is normal.
