The Paleolithic age
And stone birds.
Stones had wings
So they could fly.
They had heart
And they could sing.
They're bony
Not roly-poly.

So even though
I don't loathe
Your harsh voice
And ominous words,
I like the stone birds
For they had heart
For they knew to sing.

who to be
what to be
or what to attempt
to be anymore
Because who I've
been has always
brought destruction
disarray, pain, betrayal
hatred and dismay
down on me
and left those I love
on a dark path of lies
while I remain lost
in a universe that
despises me
