The CHIPS Act is in part responsible for the addition of 800,000 new manufacturing jobs in the US, including clean energy jobs that would otherwise be ceded to China. Republicans will repeal it because it was passed by a Democratic president. These people are arsonists driven by their fragile egos.
A Look At CHIPS Investments In Battleground States:
Arizona: $19.5 Billion
Georgia: $75 Million
Michigan: $325 Million
North Carolina: $750 Million
Pennsylvania: $93 Million
"The Gen X generation is consistently the most Republican of any of the age groups."
Here, you see that men in the 45-59 age group favor Trump by a 36-point margin.

@AngelOfTheOzark In Missouri the electioneering statute sets the boundary as not within, “twenty-five feet of the building's outer door closest to the polling place”.
Maybe the best response is a sign immediately adjacent that’s says, “Conservatives lie to win your vote. Here’s the truth...”
Elon Musk, despite years of erratic and worrying behavior that would cost other Americans their ability to work with the U.S. government, has a security clearance, @RadioFreeTom writes in The Atlantic Daily. How is that possible? https://t.co/uSQYbc8ITR
@davidfolkenflik Jeff Bezos could set aside a billion or two and establish an endowment to administer and fund the Washington Post and assure its independence for the future.
More, he could name it after Jamal Khashoggi.
@AngelOfTheOzark Or more news organizations that are funded by foundations and trusts that stipulate strict independence from corporations and governments, alike, and crowd-funded by readers.
.@jaketapper: "Liz Cheney, [Trump] said, should be put before a war tribunal. None of that sounds fascistic to you at all?"
@JDVance: "No, of course it doesn't."
@arjunkhemani@rabois The ageism that pervades SV is percolating through the rest of the tech sector due to just this sort of influence. You will reap what you sow: talent that is raw, hard-edged and obsessed with making it big and not with creating value for your customer, or bettering the world.
Why are the cable news anchors upset that people are canceling their subscriptions to WaPo?
Jesus Christ we've been begging you idiots to stop both sidesing democracy for years and you refused. You don't get to be upset about it now.
“To say that the moves from Bezos and Soon-Shiong are acts of cowardliness would be a tremendous understatement, given their roles as the stewards of cherished news institutions and the fact they are amongst the most powerful people in society…” https://t.co/e5FfyxOqTA
