I miss the days when government was accountable to the people. I wish those that are in those roles today would remember they are Public SERVANTS and they are accountable to the people in their communities, Province and Country. Anything you do should be open to the public with no backlash, playing the victim or lies. And if you cannot act like an adult when questioned, please stop waisting peopleβs time and money and just resign.
My rant for the day πβοΈ
British Columbia Premier David Eby on the trade war with the US:
There will be pain involved, but it is nothing compared to what we would face in the long term becoming a colony of the United States πΊπΈπ¨π¦
Canada is saying out loud what the world is scared to say
Canada is courageously pushing back when the rest of the world signed their surrender
Canada took the sign out of the window, when the rest of the world is still reluctant.
Canada is the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD and invites you to join. Have the courage to take the sign out of your window.
The US trade deal wasn't fair to Canada.
It was a bad deal. It would have screwed us over.
If you still believe otherwise, you should get checked for brain worms.
βToday, we remember Jack Layton β a leader and a friend who had a gift for kindling hope in the hearts of Canadians.
βDonβt let them tell you it canβt be done.β
15 years on, that line feels like it was written for this moment.β

When looking at Canada/US trade negotiations - itβs good to remember that Canada and Canadian banks own $459 billion of US debt. If Canada sells that - the US economy takes a substantial blow. Smart of Canada this past 5 years+/- increasing control of it. π¨π¦
He was a good man and he is missed in the political world. I remember him speaking at a Union Convention many years ago, everyone was tuned into what he was talking about Then he went and shook hands with many of us. He had a knack for making people feel seen and heard. Miss his style of governance.
