HOW DO YOU GET SAVED?
1. Admit you’re a sinner
Scripture presents universal human guilt under God’s law.
Romans:
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
”None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside…”
2. Believe Jesus died for your sins and rose again
This is the core content of the gospel that must be believed.
Corinthians:
“Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.”
Romans:
“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
3. Repent – turn from sin to God
Repentance is the change of mind and direction that accompanies true faith; it is not a separate meritorious work.
Acts:
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”
Luke:
“…unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”
4. Confess Jesus as Lord and Savior (pray sincerely)
Public or verbal confession is the natural expression of heart belief.
Romans:
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
“For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’”
5. Receive salvation by faith – it’s a free gift
Salvation is received, not achieved. Works play no part in justification.
Ephesians:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Romans:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Titus:
“he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy…”
6. Get baptized – as a proclamation of your faith
Baptism is commanded and is the public sign of an already-accomplished inward reality. It does not cause or complete salvation.
Matthew:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”
Acts:
The Ethiopian eunuch believes and is immediately baptized as the outward response.
You’re saved the moment you trust Christ
Justification is instantaneous upon genuine faith.
Justification is instantaneous upon genuine faith.
John:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
Salvation is a free gift received by faith in the crucified and risen Christ, and baptism follows as obedient proclamation rather than a means of obtaining or completing that salvation.
Faith is the empty hand that receives the gift.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

A pastor has recounted what he described as a spiritual encounter involving a crow at the Nsawam Market, claiming he used prayers to drive the bird from the market to a nearby bush before it was set on fire.
According to the pastor, he took over after noticing market women praying against the bird. He alleged that through intense prayers, the crow became weak and was gradually driven from the market to a nearby bush, where it was eventually burned.

This is what I was saying earlier today.
As we grow older, we think we should have be calmer or made better decisions.
Pep came into Barcelona and immediately said he’s didn’t want Ronaldinho, Eto’o and Deco, he wasn’t ready to give them a chance.
Same way he arrived at City and was clear he didn’t want Joe Hart…but as he grew as a manager, he would do some retrospection and wish he made better choices.
Those who will benefit from his better version are the players at the next club he’s going.
A typical example is Sir Alex and Beckham. Sir Alex learnt struggled at the end to manage such players, but when Cristiano came, he’d learnt.
Don’t stop growing, evolve or die.
