There's definitely a chick in the Brown Goshawk nest. I can't see in the nest, but every now and then it calls incessantly until one of the parents returns with food.

I think it's the two adults, as I just saw one of them back at the nest doing its usual fussing routine. So that would suggest if the chicks have hatched, they're not fledged yet.

The Brown Goshawk nest out the front has been unusually quiet recently, & this may be the reason. The bird on the right may be a fledged chick, or this could be the male & female parents out hunting (the left bird has caught a small bird & is holding it in its talons). #bird

Finally got around to visiting the Rainbow Bee-Eaters at Sir John Chandler Park. Only one pair in the usual spot today, but that was plenty for some pretty photos.

Very interesting activity at the Goshawk nest today. Video will be forthcoming. Some either young male, or female Satin Bowerbirds were hanging around the nest, almost in it, while the mother goshawk was in residence.

I have Brown Goshawks nesting in the tree out the front of my house :)

They're very high up, and this is pretty much the only angle you can get on them.

@jodirowley What about Green Tree Frogs that seem to change colour depending on environment? Sometimes Green, sometimes Brownish. Or am I misinterpreting?
