@OleTimeHardball John just never had that streak of excellence required of the HOF. A very long streak of good /very good. 15 years from 1965-1980 when he averaged: w/l: 14-9, era: 2.96, win %: .608, sho: 2.7, IP: 225. He was runner to CYA twice.
