Thanks for getting our hopes up, turns out both of your headlines are false because high risk simply are not getting vaccinated through GPs. Being 40 is not a risk factor.
The HSE has said that people in the high-risk and very high-risk categories are being vaccinated through their GPs.
It added that there is no change in the approach to the high-risk and very high-risk people in this category, compared to those in any other age group.
If your GP isn't signed up, or if you don't have a GP currently, and you fall into cohort 4 & 7 - the HSE urgently needs to provide a framework for vaccinating these people. Not everyone can wait for the age-based rollout, underlying conditions exist at any age!
If you're in cohort 4 or 7 and you haven't heard anything about your vaccine date yet, check out your GP's website or get in touch with them to see if they have opted into the rollout.
Rollout management on the GP side is individually by practice, so see what their process is.
How is there not an online portal available for people to even flag this with @HSELive?? Thousands of Cohort 4 & 7 people are being left behind right now.
@Gardenknowledg1@HSELive There's no way to register, it depends on supply with GPs. I've been jumping through hoops since March. No notifications or contact from HSE.
Vaccinated at last💥but the joy is tempered because my extremely vulnerable niece (in cohort 4a) is still waiting for hers. Why is she required to ‘jump through hoops’ for a reasonably freely available potentially life saving intervention? @ZaraKing @DonnellyStephen @newschambers
@Luas@brackenstephen That's not good enough, it is mandatory to wear face coverings now and Luas staff need to enforce this and ensure social distancing on trams. Retroactively asking for tram numbers and times is useless in stopping the spread of Covid.
