Rest periods between sets:
30-60 seconds: You're still tired from the last set, can't generate maximum force, each set is progressively worse, half your sets don't count.
3-5 minutes: Fully recovered, maximum force production every set, all reps are growth reps, clear progression.
"But the short rest keeps the pump!"
Yes. And the long rest keeps the tension. Which is the thing that builds muscle.
Choose your religion carefully.
@MeghanMcCain The term is Anarcho Tyranny.
From google:
Anarcho-tyranny is a political concept describing a society where the government fails to enforce basic laws (anarchy) while simultaneously using immense state power to aggressively regulate and punish law-abiding citizens (tyranny).
While rural America drowns in despair, the Amish living right beside it are barely touched. No smartphones. No feeds. No doomscroll before sleep.
The country around them is caught in what researchers now call the diseases of despair: suicide, overdose and drink, climbing so fast in Pennsylvania they nearly doubled in little over a decade. In the very same counties, the Amish are an island of calm in the middle of the flood.
Their suicide rate runs at a fraction of the national figure, roughly half or less, and has done across a century of records. Their women report less stress, fewer symptoms of depression and stronger mental health than the general population, with unusually high social support. And in one of the strangest findings in all the literature, the Amish carry the lowest rate of seasonal depression of any population ever studied, through dim propane light and long, black winters.
Look at what stands between them and the modern collapse. No phone in the pocket. No feed to measure a life against. No stranger's highlight reel at two in the morning. In its place, dense and unavoidable community, a faith that gives suffering a shape, work that is needed and seen, and the near-extinct experience of being genuinely useful to the people around you.
We built a world of endless connection and grew lonelier and sadder inside it. The Amish kept the old kind, the sort with a face, a name and a shared harvest, and it is quietly holding the line.
You cannot become Amish. You can put the phone down, sit at a real table, and make yourself useful to people who know your name. That was the medicine the whole time.
EXCLUSIVE: In the past decade, the Los Angeles Metro has reduced fare enforcement by more than 99 percent—and crime has doubled.
We rode the trains for 24 hours to see the nightmare up close. Vagrants, drugs, shootings, robberies, rape. And political leaders who do nothing.
Holy. Shit.
Tim Walz actually just pardoned an illegal immigrant who raped a 10-year-old girl. He did it to shield him from being deported.
What the fuck is happening…
Tim Walz and this man should be hanged.
These new socialist candidates aren’t working-class heroes—they’re privileged trust-fund kids who spent years marinating in woke, anti-American nonsense at elite colleges instead of getting real jobs. Now they want to run your life? Hard pass.

U.S. Men’s Soccer: patriots who pray to God after every game
U.S. Women’s Soccer: lesbians who lecture the country about how racist and transphobic they are
Today in Democrat Party politics:
Scott Weiner voted AGAINST a ban on sex offenders serving on school boards and holding elected office.
Tim Walz pardoned a pedophile who raped a ten-year old girl so he wouldn’t be deported.
And I’m supposed to believe this party is anything but a bunch of sick fucks?
People have died in France because of the extreme heat.
Then the deputy mayor of Paris reportedly said:
“Americans laughed at us for not having air conditioning.”
“Global warming is the fault of America, one of the biggest emitting countries.”
…Wait a second.
When your own people are collapsing from the heat,
your first reaction is to blame America?
An American woman currently staying in France fired back hard.
“People are not dying because of America.
They are dying because the French government still has not put proper electricity and air conditioning in schools, hospitals, and homes in 2026.
Paris is one of the most expensive cities in the world.
The taxes are incredibly high.
And you still don’t have air conditioning?
Before laughing at America,
protect your own people.
Children can’t go to school because the classrooms are too hot.
Elderly people are being put in danger.
And you still want to blame America?
No.
That is a failure of politics.
You can pretend to be an environmental leader all you want.
But a government that can’t even keep its own citizens cool has no business talking about ‘saving the planet.’
Before immigration policies and grand ideals,
the French government should first build a country where its own citizens can simply live safely.
No more excuses.
Install the air conditioning.”
Americans have every right to be angry about this.
So, French government,
before blaming America, let me ask you:
Where did all those high taxes go?
If you can’t even keep your own people cool,
how exactly are you going to save the planet?
"We should stop farming cattle to save the Amazon from soy."
Before you swing that one around, have a look at where the world's soy actually goes. The Oxford food researchers did, and the breakdown is not what the documentary implied.
37% is fed to chickens.
Around 20% goes to pigs.
6% goes to farmed fish.
And beef and dairy cattle, the animals on the poster, take 2%.
Two per cent. The cow you have been told is eating the Amazon accounts for tuppence in every pound of the world's soy. The bird in your supermarket nuggets eats nearly twenty times more of it than she does.
It gets better. A soybean is crushed into two things at once, meal and oil, and the oil is a prize in its own right. It fills the fryers, floods the ultra-processed aisle, and increasingly it does not get eaten at all. Close to half of America's soybean oil is now burned in fuel tanks as biodiesel, wearing a green halo while the forest that grew it does not.
And the British cow being lectured about all this spends her life on grass and hay, off hillsides where no soy has ever grown and no crop ever could. Tofu, soy milk and edamame, for the record, take 7% of the world's crop, so even the vegans are only modest customers.
So the field was cleared to feed the chicken shed, the frying vat and the fuel tank. And the animal standing on a Welsh hill eating rain-fed grass got the blame, because she was easier to film.
According to tradition, a Catholic saint from Tuscany thrust his sword into a stone after experiencing a vision of the Archangel Michael in the 12th century. A scientific analysis conducted in 2001 found that the visible portion of the sword and the section embedded within the stone are genuine and form a single, continuous artifact.

BASS PRO SHOP! 😎🇺🇸
The absolute GREATEST PLACE TO VISIT IN AMERICA.
If you are visiting the United States for the World Cup make sure to IMMEDIATELY visit a Bass Pro Shop, you will not regret it.
Just from the aesthetic of it, it is already an incredible experience, and these Japanese men definitely witnessed it.
But of course, the most important part of any trip to America and Bass Pro Shop is going to the PEWPEW counter.
Then, when you're done, take yourself to a Shooting Range.
Honestly what businesses in America even come close? Maybe Buc-ees? Honestly I can't think of anything!
WELCOME TO AMERICA!!! 🇺🇸🦅
🚨WOAH: Just look how massive the crowd was for President Trump today in Medora, North Dakota.
I can guarantee you won't be seeing this on CNN, MSNBC, or The View!
It sure would be a shame if it went viral!
You are not gonna believe this…

He was his father’s national security advisor.
