🚨 BREAKING: The effort to place equal protection language in the South Dakota Republican Party platform has failed.
Dale Bartscher of South Dakota Right to Life led an effort to defeat the language on the convention floor. Bartscher was joined by Pro-Life lawmakers John Hughes and Taylor Rehfeldt in speaking on the floor against equal protection for preborn babies.
South Dakota Right to Life and the rest of the Pro-Life establishment in South Dakota appear more determined than ever to keep abortion legal for women in the state. Pro-Life establishment groups in South Dakota have aggressively opposed equal protection this year, in the legislature and now in the South Dakota Republican Party.
We also received word from South Dakota abolitionists that the question was called as soon as possible, limiting them from presenting a complete case for the equal protection language.
But abolitionists are making the case for why equal protection is necessary to truly abolish abortion in South Dakota, and as the debate continues in the coming years, they will be successful by the grace of God.
By who? They/them haters of God? Christian parents should teach their kids the Bible & take them to a biblical church where they can be discipled. Government school taught kids about biology, origin of man, sexual reproduction, politics & history too… look how that turned out.
🚨 BREAKING: South Dakota abolitionists have successfully added equal protection language to the South Dakota Republican Party platform draft for consideration by the delegates.
The new draft version of the platform approved in committee, which will next advance to a floor vote, now includes a section saying “we believe that every preborn child is entitled to equal protection under the law.”
The original amendment included more language saying “we call on the South Dakota legislature and the Governor to abolish abortion immediately” by establishing equal protection and repealing loopholes in state law keeping abortion legal for women. Some of this language was removed in committee, but the language of this platform draft still affirms the principle of equal protection, a significant step forward for abolitionists in South Dakota.
South Dakota Right to Life strongly opposed the addition of any equal protection language into the platform, yet the committee adopted the current language over objections from the Pro-Life establishment group. South Dakota Right to Life recently testified against House Bill 1212, which would have abolished abortion by establishing equal protection of the laws for preborn babies.
Pro-Life establishment groups across the country are opposing abolition in the legislatures, in the Republican Party, and in other venues. But abolitionists are fighting to honor God and abolish abortion, no matter who stands in our way.
@Protestia I think one day is one thing, but 3 weeks? Even a large church could come up with creative ways, like a watch party in small groups, meeting at a park or another church at a special time, etc. But like someone else said, there are bigger issues with his church.
This is not "changing the culture." This is kowtowing to the culture that celebrates s3x in a lame attempt at relevancy that pr() ch()ice women mock. You're a Christian first. Be that.
@BabyBellGuy75@megbasham One man shows up every day and harrasses and kicks signs and sprinkles salt around people while saying the most vile things. It is scary and people do feel unsafe and cops do nothing (so I get that), but until he makes a move, none of the Christians have beat him up.
@BabyBellGuy75@megbasham Actually some have threatened to kill. One of Gen sent pics of another person in my group’s grandchildren that they found on FB and sent it to their messenger making veiled threats about what might happen to them. Police were contacted.
@BabyBellGuy75@megbasham Then why did he wait years? What made this threat more immediate? Why didn’t he make a formal report or press charges? Where is the evidence of this threat? The Bible makes it clear we are to have multiple witnesses to the actual event.
@BabyBellGuy75@megbasham Defend them from what? What did that pastor actually stop? A verbal attack, for the moment? He didn’t prevent or end anything. His own dad claimed the pastor “had enough”. That shows loss of patience rather than having an immediate threat.
@BabyBellGuy75@megbasham Ya I do that regularly when I help w/ sidewalk ministry at abortion mills and pride festivals, etc. Our group is threatened like this all the time. Should we abolitionists run across the street and beat up the ones threatening? What good does that do? How does that stop anything?
@BabyBellGuy75@megbasham Now you are bearing false witness. I never condoned, supported, excused, etc. any harassment etc from the neighbors or anyone else. The question is whether or not that rises to the level of beginning a physical altercation.

🤔 Notice how @KristanHawkins repeatedly says @StudentsforLife wants to “abolish abortion,” as well as apply “14th Amendment” equal protection to preborn babies.
But this post simply does not mention how @KristanHawkins and @StudentsforLife still actively oppose abolition and equal protection efforts across the country, clinging to the Pro-Life establishment notion that women should never be held accountable for willfully murdering their preborn babies.
@BabyBellGuy75@megbasham Where is the evidence of the threats and the evidence they were imminent? This has nothing to do with defending the alleged vile behavior of the neighbors, rather its finding and assessing the truth and the biblical and legal principles involved.
