It's been about a month since we published our #Riftbound 2v2 guide and it's been a ride! Almost 100 buyers so far and a Discord server with close to 200 people! We've also seen the format grow with Champions of the Rift in Regional Qualifiers and looking forward to the future!
If you are playing 2v2 Riftbound in #RQUtrecht I'd love to hear about your experiences there! Also for the events before they've asked each person who is a captain and who is not and then dropped the non-captains and each team follows their captain's pairing. Good luck prepping!
Party Favors is probably the most fun 2v2 card in Riftbound! I've heard many names for it like Christmas and it feels like it! We started 2v2 thinking this is auto-include but surprisingly often this is not that good to include in your deck! A must have for late game decks though
Have you ever wondered which legends are the best ones for 2v2 in Riftbound? We've focused on 2v2 on months now and here's our takes for you to argue with!
Nearing 3000 views on our first video, and our second Youtube video about 2v2 has just dropped!

LeBlanc and Viktor also have their own spot in the meta. Lillia pairs with LeBlanc. Ornn+Azir is a fun combo and we expect people to keep playing that. People are also experimenting with more removal focused builds with yellow decks. LeBlanc and Viktor are strong 2v2 legends!
We had our second Champions of the Rift event in #RQVancouver for Riftbound 2v2!
Some learnings:
We got data from the event but no way of knowing which legends were actually paired. Yi is king with Irelia and Yasuo as the usual pairings. Purple Green is the dominant support deck
@SirturmundLOR@TheRealJohnPan Hey, we have a complete 2v2 guide, you can find that on profile and through there you can also find a Discord for 2v2 that's free and you can ask anything there! Our guide also has a free segment for all of the 2v2 rules! But yes, you can show hands and talk everything you want!
@regal_savvy@TheRealJohnPan Yep, in 2v2 you can use any activated abilities or any speed spells, even slow ones like Falling Star, on your partner's turn!
@TheRealJohnPan I also love that it's a real consideration to go first/second and the player order. Yasuo and Viktor are examples that always want to go second. The format offers so much but most people gravitate to just play Yi. Many people underestimate how quick 2v2 games can be
@TheRealJohnPan You are on the right track! I hope that they would eventually ban Yi from 2v2 as he's the whole format. Either play him or come up with a way to beat him. Aurora is completely overrated and too slow as you said! But Party Favors is overrated too, little benefit for a slow turn
@braceish Definitely check the 2v2 guide on profile or join the Discord (found through metafy link), it's is free and you can find people to chat with about 2v2! Yi+x is the most meta to play, usually with Yasuo, Vex, Irelia and other green decks but there's lots of other stuff too!
@Frodan@DisguisedToast Congrats! So glad they added this event and are pushing 2v2 more, it's so much fun and the deckbuilding is interesting + it's more social
@UedaJay Hey, if you are interested, me and @cyberbb404 are gathering some of people's experiences from the event and the matchups they faced etc. as there's little data but a lot of people interested! You can reply here or dm or go on the Discord through the Metafy on profile. Congrats!
Looking forward to hearing people's experiences playing 2v2 and which strategies make it out on top in #Riftbound#RQVancouver
We are building a 2v2 community and would love to chat with you about your experience, don't hesitate to reply or send a dm here or on Discord!
@e3tcg@Zrob0@SeffyrRB@DizzeeRiftbound Nah I don't think that's necessary, Aurora is actually too slow into competitive 2v2 strategies, Elder is the only card making it somewhat playable
@SeffyrRB@e3tcg@DizzeeRiftbound I don't know if you already know but there actually is the smaller tournament on Saturday for 2v2 in Rqs and now they have also had Champions of the Rift on Sundays, a really competitive 2v2 side event with great prizing! We are also building a 2v2 community and Discord!
@SeffyrRB@cyberbb404 Oops, meant Hartford or any Regional! We want to gather people's experiences and data and share it so the format can grow and we can help people know what to expect in big events, Discord can be found through the link in profile or dm
@SeffyrRB Hey, we have a 2v2 focused Discord server with about 150 members, you could find help and sparring there! Me and @cyberbb404 are looking to get in contact with people playing 2v2 in Vancouver and would love to document as many 2v2 experiences as possible
