私の住んでいる上海という街の変化は、これよりもずっと大きいです。10年前にはまだ存在していたものが、今では次々と姿を消しています。

そう考えると、すべてを完全に復元し、再現することは不可能でしょう。でも、VRは間違いなくひとつの「窓」であり、現時点では過去の世界に最も近づける唯一の可能性だと思います。

もしかしたら将来、『SAO』のような世界が本当に実現するかもしれません。きっと私たちは、それを目にすることになるでしょう。

As a kid, I couldn’t afford this arcade game. Its enclosed cockpit meant I couldn’t even watch. By the time I had the money, it was gone, along with my childhood arcades in Shanghai. Now, rebuilt in Vision Pro, the kid who never got a turn finally gets to play.
