The struggle is not between people who care about Palestine and people who care about injustice at home.
The struggle is between those who recognize human dignity wherever it is violated, and those who make exceptions for the people they fear or profit from.
Gaza, Sudan, ICE dungeons. Mass incarceration, etc. are ALL related to each other.
We want peace.
A peace that includes the right to freedom of movement, the right to self determination, the right to worship, to not have our homes stolen, to not have our children disappear into dark dungeons where they’re raped and tortured with no court or world to hear them, to not have our olive trees destroyed and land stolen while the occupation sprays skunk water on us and the world throws us empty platitudes.
Freedom is not possible under colonial masters. Peace is not possible without justice.
We want peace.
i should’ve been able to post this six days ago. i should’ve been able to tell you that i was being tear gassed for peacefully protesting. but there was no internet. no calls. no messages. just blackout. FOR SIX DAYS. SIX FUCKING DAYS.
While the world gets occupied trying to confirm the well being of over 400 activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla who were abducted by Israel, IOF kills 53 more Palestinians. Israel multi-tasking when it comes to death and destruction.
When local police refuse to crackdown on civilians in AJK our State imports Police from other provinces. This is the old playbook of the State in KP, Balochistan and Karachi where Levies, FC, Rangers and Police when serving in an area don't consist of locals. The lack of familiarity doesn't only breed fear amongst civilians but allows the LEAs to be as brutal as they want without any social and moral repercussions.
Pakistan strongly condemns the dastardly attack by Israeli forces on the 40 vessel Samud Gaza flotilla, carrying over 450 humanitarian workers from 44 countries.
We hope and pray for the safety of all those who have been illegally apprehended by Israeli forces and call for their immediate release. Their crime was to carry aid for the hapless Palestinian people.
This barbarity must end. Peace must be given a chance and humanitarian aid must reach those in need.
