Fitbit was great about replacing my daughter's broken unit. The screen stopped working this morning, 5 days after replacement.

In summary @fitbit customer service, *so* good. Inspire HR though, a piece of garbage.

She doesn't even want another and I don't blame her one bit.

I just wanted to follow up on my @fitbit woes by saying their support people contacted me and confirmed that my issue is covered by their limited warranty and being replaced at no cost to me. They were really wonderful over Twitter and later over email, and I appreciate that.

So far the @fitbit Inspire HR is the weakest of all the Fitbits we have had. Less than 35 days since I replaced my daughter's and it won't even turn on anymore. Even using best charging practices, keeping the contacts clean, trying to reset it etc. Our third Inspire issue.

Not currently helped by @BestBuy's 15 day return policy because now I'm out the cost. Should have opted for the warranty I guess but all our family's previous @fitbit's have been rock solid for years. Bleh. That'll teach me.

I honestly find #MothersDay completely exhausting. One day is not going to be magical if your family treats you like a doormat already, conversely, mother's day won't be paricularly amazing if your family is already appreciative.

The ad campaigns telling me "what mom really wants", expectations vs realities, the way some people politicize the day, the women who have kids vs making space for those who can't, people in conflict with their mothers... All difficult to navigate on an average day.

Watching #NotreDame de Paris burn on the BBC live feed and remembering how often we were there when I was a child living in France.

Tourists get hung up on the Eiffel Tower but that is only ~125 years old. Notre Dame is over 800 years old and the heart of Paris.

I doubt this is a @FitbitSupport issue as it is the band but, bleh, still irritating because buying a new band is starting to feel like money down the drain. On the flip side this is tree first problem our family has had with Fitbit's quality in the 5 years we have worn them.

This is the second @fitbit inspire hr band we have gone through in the past 2 weeks of having them. They both failed in the exact same way for two different family member's inspires... which is definitely an irritation when you spend $100 per tracker... and new bands are $25. 😕

Also that I don't catch it as I am the last in the home to remain unaffected. Clearly my diet of Starbucks, thin mints, and samosas is paying off. 😋

Well my 10-yr-old's cold has turned into a sinus and lung infection. The doctor said he has been seeing drug resistant cases lately that seem more contagious, so let us hope the antibiotics prescribed do the job and don't cause too much stomach discomfort this time.

Due to a flu that just won't go away tonight was the first @NatGeoLive put on by @WCEBroadway that my 10-year-old and I have missed. They are bummed to have broken their perfect attendance record but fortunately there is still one more this year.

@Demakat Bowtie noodles are my favourite in soup! Though I also put pistou (kind of like pesto but without pine nuts) in chicken noodle soup...
