In the year 2000, Cursive released their third album, Domestica. Although considered essential today, it never had an official single. "The Martyr," performed below at The Social in Orlando, 2001, is likely the album's most known song.
@wyin1998 where do you find security who care hahah. one time, when i was sat on a raised ADA platform at barricade, security actively sent a crowdsurfer double my weight directly on top of me and i got crushed </3
@keiphoriaz typically they put us on the sides of the pit if there's no platform to watch from. but small venue chains like fillmore have platforms. they vary in quality but the specific venue jack is emailing has some of the best ADA out there. there's no reason they need to be in the pit.
@torchtism not to mention how unsafe it is for you and the people around you. people will shove you and get shoved into your wheelchair all night. and that railing will not save your ass from falling when someone inevitably crowdsurfs on top of you.
@torchtism i'm blind+crippled and i'd never ask for barricade. i know ADA is often shit, but you seriously cannot expect to get /barricade/ just because you're short. that's entitlement. record the show from ADA to watch later like the rest of us if your height is that big of an issue.
@freyrkkuma i had a pet rat from 2020-2023. when i first told my grandmother about him, she said i should feed him to my family's pet snake. i miss him
@S1CKHEARTS_ or disabled enough. family makes too much for me to be eligible for FAFSA but the state will send my blind crippled ass anywhere on their dime when i turn 23 🥳
@SSi_ero thanks but that's geoff rickly of thursday, not me haha.
allegedly i pass so long as i don't talk. not sure if i'm getting lied to by queers who forgot what an average/twink-y cis man looks like. i can't see myself to find out.
@SSi_ero being effectively housebound since 2020 means i have no in-person friends.
rare case of a transsexual who genuinely is screwed out of safe transitioning.
@S1CKHEARTS_ i got nerfed being blind and living in the woods. i can't leave my house without help from the same people i want to hide HRT from. RIP me
@doggydognosekai this doesn't explain why it seems like every single non-transitioning "transmasc" has h-EDS specifally, and nothing else. canes do not even help with the instability, in my experience. maybe i'm too advanced of a cripple to understand.
@doggydognosekai there's this chart. hypermobility and autism have a significant genetic link and hypermobility is more common in people born female.
for me, cerebral palsy gave me an endless list of co-occurring conditions, and being transsexual is just a coincidence. not the same.
