i have learned that if you are a Person With Theories, you simply cannot date someone who is theoryless. the theories can be wildly different, even occasionally deranged, but there must be theories. ideally over time your respective theory ecosystems begin to cross-pollinate
@NotOwnedAgain@TheEcho13 As a past dating app user I'm not sure I believe that lol, but if it is true I see no reason why it would apply only to men and not also women
My advice for every dude in college:
Seriously date for finding your wife in college. You will never ever have a better high proximity dating pool of people with shared cultural interests and easy intros.
@l33tg4m3r4lif3@RealDianeYap I've been friends with mostly men for my entire life and have almost always felt like I was putting more effort into the friendship. Female friendships tend to be more effort intensive so maybe men see their female friends expecting that same dynamic from them as "just taking"
@PaladinAshe It's not that the women drop the friendship, it's that most guys stop being friends after confessing. Obviously that can make sense and it isn't the guys fault for needing that, but it sucks to feel like friendships are just doomed to end for reasons out of your control
Men on X: “The dating market is so rough, things are so hard for men”
Girl: “This is what we like in men”
Men on X: “You’re lying! Stated vs revealed preferences! Never trust a woman to be honest about what she wants!”
Gee, do they not see the connection here?
Very important to have a nature-aligned hobby. Something that forces you to go out into the world. Gives you reason to travel. To disconnect. To go on spontaneous trips with your boys. Hunt, surf, hike, fish, bike. Pick something and embed it into your life. Core to the human experience.
