@StormGryphon@donzthetiger I have a question about these trackers. Is it good use for travel in train like Amtrak train and interstate bus service like Greyhound bus or it better off limits to airplanes only?
@StormGryphon If it is limited to that specific airline, then I will not use it if I ever step in the airport. If other airlines will follow that then it'll be depending on if I will need to pay for it or not.
@paolini That is given due to not enough meat after one removed guts, bones, fur. To be clear that I don't want to eat it nor support that. I just want to make a point.
@StormGryphon@peppercoyote The problem is even if Congress passes the funding bill to pay DHS, which TSA falls under that umbrella, with exempt ICE and goes to presidential Deck, Trump will not sign it due to it not link to SAVE America act. That act will not help USA at all.
@StormGryphon@FlyFrontier That is very stupid of that particular airline to limit check in luggage to that impossible time frame. It will be more reasonable if they allow you to check in said luggage up to 6 hours before the time of leaving the gate for takeoff to ensure anyone will not miss their flight
Looking at the world and our dependence on fossil fuels reminds me of when I was doing all my research for To Sleep in a Sea of Stars. Digging into the math of energy production completely and utterly convinced me that the only path forward for humanity is to just bite the bullet and build a ton of nuclear power plants. Nuclear is the only power source that's dense enough for humanity to keep advancing, both on this planet and throughout the solar system.
Plus, it's nowhere near as dangerous as folks think. No one died from radiation at Fukushima, for example. And while nuclear isn't totally safe (nothing is), oil and coal kill a huge amount of people through pollution and knock-on political effects (see current events).
There's no such thing as a free lunch. Energy is what allows for EVERYTHING in our modern world, and the more we can produce, the better life gets. But to do that, and cleanly, nuclear is the only real option at the scales we need.
@JohnCalafin@drsnepper@StormGryphon And these volunteers don't have all proper training for all machines there therefore they will use the old fashioned way that is to use hands to clear every individual. And we will know how long it will take.
@StormGryphon That is not good news at all because if it happens then all airports that are beyond these security points and all airplanes will no longer be guaranteed safe and that equals to odds of something happens will go up.
