@aclientfirst I've actually always wanted to do this since I always forget what they say whilst in that moment I'm like "wow that acc makes sense and really helpful" after the therapy I just forget. And I hate it. And still nervous to ask but didn't know this was a thing!
NEVER gets old that my dog just sits by me whilst I have a bath. No matter what. If I lock close the door. She'll sometimes just wait outside and whimpers. ๐ฅน it's honestly saved me.
If they've added lyrics function back, then good! I wasted good few years waiting for them to come back after being told by @Spotify that it was coming back "soon"
When you miss out the Spotify Wrapped bc there's no lyrics (used to be) and co switching constantly with Musixmatch was exhausting. Don't know what Spotify is like now and don't plan to resubscribe after them taking lyrics option off years ago. ๐
If you're lover of board games, there's a website where you can play board games/card games online against others. It's actually getting me through it. If you get it. Let me know! https://t.co/USAlRaMqDN ยฃ27 for the year. (Not an ad ๐)
An example when you're definitely not being listened to is when you keep telling you're DEAF and then they continue telling you to ring different helplines. Then added the numbers/companies onto my phone. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
After what happened, how can I be so sure that people are listening to me? Rather than wasting a particular emergency when it wasn't needed adding more distrust and paranoia?
Nice tone in text messages within mental health professionals during a crisis is IMPORTANT. Like don't be blunt, add an smiley emoji, add some enthusiasm and..... actually listen?
Literally had a worker push me screaming at me โIVE BEEN YELLING AT YOU, youve got security tagโ No need to push me to get my attention. I am Deaf. Come around me rather than trying to yell and push someone then laughing with your colleagues? No apology? @sainsburys#Brighton
My cochlear implant hasnโt been functioning properly since august, I would give it up if I didnโt feel so dizzy and clumsy and if the world wasnโt so โhearing focussedโ bc I can โspeakโ! I need it for balance. And the anxiety kicks in if I canโt understand someone. Thatโs all. ๐ฅด
I remember in the old days, about 8 years ago. They would have a scare actor in the room telling the story and we would be able to just lipread some parts of it. Just feels like itโs gone a bit backwards. But still great time though.
Although @Tulleys_Shock has a lot of accessibility to do, such as when youโre just about to go on a attraction - they tell a story whilst you wait in a room, but you canโt hear what theyโre saying. Perhaps captions on the tv?
