If you want consistency out of your lineup and out of your team, you cannot switch it every game. This leads to players pressing, which leads to a lack of performance. Not to say you can't change things, but changing it all the time definitely doesn't translate to results.
This is the culture we create in America by mocking other people for trying to do their jobs as best as they possibly can. And then we wonder why our kids don’t show effort and commitment
1 unselfish AB
can win a game
1 high baseball IQ play
can win a game
1 hustle play
can win a game
1 great base running read
can win a game
….And it could be early in the game!
If you REALLY want to win, dominating the “minor” details leads to “major” W’s!
#BaseballTruth
So sick of “D1 or Bust” mentality.
And for what?
So your parents can tell people at a dinner party?
6-7% of HS athletes even GET the opportunity to play in college IF you even get the chance to play at the next level...GO where you can play four more years.
THATS what matters.
HS Baseball Players ⚾️
I’ve been around this game a long time, and something’s changed...
We’re losing respect for the game.
• Chirping after every pitch.
• Celebrating routine plays like it’s Game 7
• Trying to embarrass opponents instead of beating them.
That’s not toughness. That’s insecurity. 💯
Somewhere along the way, being loud became more important than being good.
And the worst part? It’s being allowed.
When I came up…
• You showed up early.
• You handled your business.
• You played hard.
• You shut your mouth.
• If you had something to say…
you said it with performance.
• And if lines were ever crossed, the players took care of it.
The truth: 👇
• Baseball is hard.
• You’re going to fail.
• You’re going to struggle.
• The game doesn’t need more noise…
• It needs more respect.
• Nobody remembers who chirped.
• They remember who showed up.
• Who competed.
• Who handled adversity.
• Who left the game better than they found it.
Want to separate yourself?
Stop talking. Start working.
Respect the game.

I'm watching the film “Sandlot” with our kids and just realized that the film’s version of America with baseball, public pools, county fair, block parties, etc is almost extinct.
Coaches: If athletes are bored at practice or seem to be lacking focus...It's most likely that your practice plan/style needs to change.
Instead of blaming the athletes, take ownership.
Umpires: I understand sometimes you deal with some douche bag coaches, players, and fans but you don't have to show up to the field out to get people.
You are there to call the game, make sure the game is played correctly, with hustle, no trash talk, and a good pace.
Why do some of you have such bad attitudes? Like you have something to prove. You always have to let people know you are the almighty umpire and you are in charge. The big bad ump!
You should not be a factor in the game. Your demeanor, energy, or attitude should not affect the game one way or another. You are there to make calls, good or bad, but you should always be positive, approachable, and fair.
Some of you are looking for conflict. You make it obvious at the plate meeting. You start laying down the law like you are some gestapo. Just relax and ump the game.
Honestly, if you act that way, you just fire coaches and players up more to do something stupid.
