@carolmswain Remember that she's addressing not just the use of "oppression" in regard to whites, she's opposing the view that DEI is a bad thing. There's more going on here than this one clip shows. Involved here are issues of censorship, book banning, free speech.
@merrylynn06@carolmswain No, she's well educated, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She's citing facts. As a white educator who has worked with Black students and colleagues for nearly 50 years, I support her. She's right. But what she's sharing here is just a limited view of the actual situation.
Republicans have had the House majority for the past two years. They couldn't even pass the budget without Democrats crossing the aisle to help them. They spent two years fighting about who would be the speaker. What did they do to better anything that concerns your life? Seriously.
Unfortunately the media barely covered the significant accomplishments of the Biden Administration and long term investment in our infrastructure and economy. Like those of the New Deal, some will be noticed later. No doubt Trump will take credit for these just as Republicans in Congress did for improvement programs they voted against. Hypocrisy.
