Donald Trump commits acts of political violence.
He kidnapped the Venezuelan head of state and assassinated the civilian government of Iran.
Not a word from our political leaders.
Today they’re: “All political violence must be condemned”.
They’d fucking sicken you.
Meanwhile in upside down world,
Govts abject failure "validates their approach".
- Gutting investment to pay for unaffordable tax cuts and tanking the economy, receiving two credit downgrades in one term, is "responsible fiscal management."
Causing record unemployment is
"getting people into jobs".
Similarly:
Privatising electricity, failing to effectively regulate or invest in energy generation, causing record businesses to go to the wall, "is not interfering with market signals"
and "Laser focused on GDP growth".
Denying Maori legal rights, butchering NZ's constitutional law to weasel out of Treaty obligations is:
"One law for all, regardless of race."
Gutting environmental protections, allowing farmers to treat rivers as open sewers, and fast tracking mining in world heritage conservation estate, for a pittance in royalties, is "cutting red tape"
Vandalising NZ's economy, it's environment, and social cohesion, is "getting back on track."

There isn't really a left and right.
The real divide is between:
Those who govern in the best interests of all kiwis, with policy based on evidence.
And those who govern in the interests of wealthy donors, with policy to the highest bidder.
---
The needs of the many, outweigh the greed of the few.

Act MP Simon Court fishes for Jewish votes in genocidal waters.
Let’s break it down: On April 8 Court moved in parliament that:
“That this House condemn antisemitism in all its forms and affirm that it has no place in New Zealand.”
The motion received unanimous, oral support. There was no reference in the debate to the military actions of the state of Israel. However, in his social media post on the topic, Court, placed an image of himself, backed by Israeli flags, visually conflating antisemitism with criticism of the state of Israel, and revealing himself to be a supporter of the state of Israel. There is no record I could find of Simon Court or any other ACT MP ever criticizing the actions of the state of Israel in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, or Iran. We know who they are.
"We can't afford another war"

🇦🇺🇵🇸 Protesters in Brisbane, Australia, staged a unique demonstration, using famous song lyrics as a “clever workaround” to echo pro-Palestinian slogans recently banned by local authorities.
'The problem is not Netanyahu.'
'The problem is the whole of Israeli society. '
'About 70–75% of Israelis say there are no innocents in Gaza.'
'No innocents — in a land of children.'
'Israel kills children as a hobby. '
'As a hobby.'
Professor Norman Finkelstein.
Last year I watched Israel live stream bombing hospitals in Gaza to rubble, leaving babies to die and decompose.
This is footage from inside an Iranian hospital hit by Israel, this time, a brave nurse managed to save some of the babies.
