—which is a pure waste of paper in my opinion.”
Josephine’s last comment earned her a chuckle, and she relaxed in her seat some.
“I do suppose I’ll need to show you how things work around here.”
The flattery was unnecessary, but definitely welcomed. The dean is most definitely not unaware of the tone in her voice. She responded with a slight smirk, practically her signature, and the raise of an eyebrow.
In all honesty, the school had been lacking in adequate—
—educational leadership for a while, with the exception of herself.
And for once that wasn’t her ego talking, it was simply the truth.
“You have your pick of classes, as early as possible, and I do need you to sign a contract to ease the school master’s ‘conscience.’—
“This school is weak, Josephine. We are no longer /truly/ evil. There are very few of us here that remember what evil really is, and to be quite frank, your presence will thoroughly irk Clarissa.”
She said with a chuckle. The same dark, evil chuckle as always. —
@The_Mask_Queen “Good.”
She said as she left the room, heading to her class.
It seemed like days that she’d been away from Ashley by the time she got back to the office, and that had irritated her to no end.
@The_Mask_Queen Leonora kissed her back, her hands falling to her waist.
She didn’t want to argue with her.
She /is/ evil. But maybe it’s best if Ashley doesn’t see her that way.
@The_Mask_Queen “I think that those things made me evil. Ashley, I’m the dean of this school. You don’t get there by only being misunderstood.”
She said, though she did lean into her touch slightly.
@The_Mask_Queen “Do you know how many rules I’ve broken here? I don’t think it matters that much. Some of them, sure, but this one? No. And we aren’t students. We’re adults who can make our own decisions.”
She said, taking a deep breath.
@The_Mask_Queen “I don’t like being around Evers anyway. I thought I made that obvious.”
She said, joking. She didn’t laugh, though. She was too worried.
