@lazlopuskas@ailbeoreilly No they don't. Anyone that's been to the standalone minor finals can see they are a way better atmosphere and the players deserve that. If neither Tipp or Limerick were in senior final you'd a max 3k fans get to see their team.
@jonno02070193@auric_k@RTEsport You made statements about what players want but you didn't actually talk to any players so yes, you made it up. I have spoken to players, majority want it as a standalone fixture. Tipp captain in 24 spoke of the massive crowds driving them over the line, doesnt happen in Croker
@jonno02070193@auric_k@RTEsport That's fine but stop saying the players would rather play in Croke Park when you are just making that up. You'd rather it was up there, the players like the standalone fixture, as many of them have said in interviews.
@jonno02070193@auric_k@RTEsport It's not pointless and you are wrong. The bulk of the attendance are only strolling in for the last 15 minutes of the minor. They deserve more respect. Every player I've asked was happier to play in Nowlan Park/Gaelic Grounds. They deserve their day
@jonno02070193@auric_k@RTEsport No they wouldn't. If Galway and Clare were in the senior final, there is zero atmosphere for a Tipp and Limerick minor final.
@jonno02070193@auric_k@RTEsport And if Limerick didn't make the senior final you'd have nobody from Clare and Galway/Cork in for the minor and it would be a shit atmosphere. I can guarantee you Limerick players were delighted to be in their own stadium winning an All Ireland.
@jonno02070193@auric_k@RTEsport The tipp players involved in the last minute win over Offaly and the 13 man extra time win over Kilkenny were happy to be in Nowlan Park. There was a proper atmosphere there. A half empty Croke Park is soulless
@jonno02070193@auric_k@RTEsport Yesterday was my 3rd minor final since they went to smaller grounds and all 3 were far more entertaining spectacles as a result. Played in a half empty Croke Park with potentially only a few hundred actual fans of the counties involved is disrespectful to the players.
@NicknameisBush@colmward2013@J_Harrison_13@Murfy888 Kerry player is clearly kicking the ball upfield after claiming the mark and gets impeded, intentionally to stop the attack. Tyrone man is playing on and gets fouled during the play. That's a foul, not a delay.
@darragh1984@fintancox There is no solo and go here. If you want to play on from a mark you just go.
The rule wasn't removed, it was altered. If you stop a player from taking the free from a mark that is still a 50m advance, which happened here. It's only a free if you stop a player that plays on.
Portugal showing no urgency at all, keeper is walking around with the ball at his feet and taking his time for every goal kick. Happy to sit in around their own box. I hope they remember that when they end up in the Spain section of the draw for finishing second.
@utdbyron2@potiarnaigh It's not the same. Impeding a player that plays on from a mark and impeding a player that's taking the free from the mark are two different situations and have two different punishments.
@ConnStevenson91@charmagh6@CahairOKane1 Every referee I come across (both club and inter county) don't look for the hand to be raised. Multiple refs have told me the rule doesn't say raise their hand, it states "signal", which can be interpreted many ways. They consider a player looking to play a kick pass as a signal.
