@NoNonsenseND When entering a room to do something(s), either close the door or put a visual or real obstacle in the way so you don't leave without finishing. The door/obstacle reminds you that you can't leave yet.
Has anyone made an RPG setting where you’re Atlantian outcasts who fight cannibalistic Nephilim giants in pre-flood Doggerland?
And if not could you start please?
@BeanJuiceStudio I’m a time poor dad. And I just started following a few indie game developers and reviewers on this site. I have probably wish listed 20 games this month. Keep it up.
@colleen_daves Not sure if this will help. We had this in our house. Found that disturbing the REM cycle earlier in the night to reset the sleep starting clock solved it. Maybe set a quiet alarm 2 hrs into sleep, roll over, turn it off and go back to sleep.
I just heard regex pronounced with a hard G sound. I've been saying it in my head for quite a long time with a J sound. Re-jex. Is re-jex an Australian thing? I think I'll change my ways, though.
@MikeMike091245@AdamHKlein It is my child's 10th this year. I've floated 10-for-10 with other parents, who love the idea. We're all over the idea of piles of plastic junk. Ten dollars (and a card, I'm not a monster) as a gift. Then the kid can go shopping the next day.
@oldyzach I had this on 3.5" floppy for 30 years and never got more than a minute in (pop the floppy in - then move on to something else). Watching the playthrough for the first time now: https://t.co/niaAP8oOvs
@ChrisAlvino I had a young graphic designer that I personally hired on my team in the early 2000s, same issue. After about two weeks I sat him down and came up with a 10-6 schedule so the dev team could request work needed for the next day. Worked great.
@vibrolax@beaversteever This is an awesome story. Thanks for sharing! I can't say I have done anything remotely that complex, but the thought patterns to just get it done are familiar.
@autisticadhdco I used to tell myself that I'm pleasantly annoyed when things go wrong (as I have been anxious about a multitude of similar scenarios), so I fix them fast so I can get back to my regularly scheduled anxiety about things that haven't actually happened yet.
@suchnerve I did this via email as a software engineering manager for my team of software engineers. Loaded with searchable keywords for my benefit as well.
@kareem_carr Hi and or g’day. I’m currently studying my masters in data science in Australia. Worked in US fintech through Y2K. Finding and solving for anomalies in large data sets is my comfy space.
