he hears cas say and turns to look at him. and cas is smiling. a genuine, warm smile. “…awesome.” dean says and can’t stop smiling either. and for the entire drive home, dean very loudly sings along to his music, while cas is smiling at him.
dean wants to take cas on a date. however, that turns out to be much harder than he thought. none of his flirting works on cas. pet names get no reaction out of cas, his pick up lines just get him an unamused stare, and even if he implies getting dinner together
for over a decade you have never been serious about it.” and dean is like “oh.” and remembers all those times he did call cas pet names or flirted with him.
“I didn’t consider that…” dean then says sheepishly & stares straight ahead. “but yes, i’d love to go out with you, dean.”
dean and cas start dating & for cas who’s never really been in an actual relationship it’s new territory. so he uses movies & magazines as a sort of guide.
and one day, dean is in the kitchen and cas asks him a question, but adds “honey” or “sweetheart” at the end
