Aug. 25: Detroit holds a 12.5-game lead over Cleveland
Sept. 23: The Guardians beat the Tigers to tie them atop the AL Central — and now own the tiebreaker, too.
One of the great surges and collapses we’ve ever seen, all over the course of less than a month.
We are heartbroken that Jim Donovan, the Voice of the Browns, has passed away.
Jim provided so much joy and love to this city. His steady presence on the radio for Browns games and on television for nightly news made it feel like he was an extended family member for all those that tuned in. His signature calls will be forever embedded in Browns history.
Our thoughts are with Jim’s family and everyone who had the immense pleasure of considering him a friend.
We join the rest of the Cleveland community in mourning the loss of Cleveland media member, friend to many, and long-time voice of the @Browns, Jim Donovan. ❤️
The Guardians are going to the playoffs, and did so with back-to-back walk-off wins to take the soul from the Twins.
What an incredible and remarkable story out of Cleveland. Stephen Vogt deserves Manager of the Year.
Jim Donovan, you are my childhood. Your energy, passion, love for the city of Cleveland and tireless work ethic has served as an inspiration to so many. Thank you. We’re all praying for you and know you’ll beat this terrible disease. God bless you Jim. A Cleveland Browns legend.
The Browns have 26 percent of their salary cap on IR including Deshaun Watson and Nick Chubb.
They just won their 11th game to clinch a playoff spot. Unreal 😤
