I rebuilt Wolfenstein 3D from scratch in C#—then added coloured lighting, god rays, fog, bloom, shadows, and water caustics.
Still the original 1992 artwork. ✨

ZXBasic is a free interpreter that recreates the look and feel of programming a #ZXSpectrum. Modern editing, a few extra commands ('RENUM'), and an option CRT effect. Fun! #indiedev#retro

Adding glass and scratches to my custom #Mechwarrior2 engine.
I love playing with the 'effect' values until I get the result I want. Closer each time...

After the challenge of my #Wolfenstein3D engine remake, I've decided to try #Mechwarrior2.
Based on the DOS version, but layering newer effects. Will possibly port to #VR too.

@2disbetter Thanks!
The C source was released but I didn’t want the temptation to just tweak that - not enough of a ‘project’ for me. So C#, as I’m familiar with it and it’s cross platform.
