Is @ProtonMail search broken? Nope! It's just doing its job protecting your privacy.
Most users don't realize you need to enable local search to find encrypted emails.
I go over all the settings I tweak in my Proton account.

Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all.

For all Monero fans out there, this is the first Wireless Mobile Wallet support for @Trezor Safe 7 & XMR.
Fantastic jobs from the people over at Cake Wallet bringing this to Safe 7 users 🙏👏.
Some politicians in the UK think it is a good idea to introduce identity verification for using VPN services.
It could be that these politicians do not understand what they are proposing. The alternative, that they do understand, would be even worse.
Whistleblowers, activists, and journalists depend on anonymous VPN services. Requiring identity verification for VPN services would put them at risk. It would also have a chilling effect on online debate (VPNs can help people post anonymously on social media).
In authoritarian countries, VPN services are crucial forcriticizing the government. That is precisely why such governments seek to ban or restrict them. Hopefully, the UK will not join that list.
No Monero folks should be looking to dunk on Zcash because of Zooko's post. He did the right thing and was honest about exploitation being undetectable.
We (Monero) have had our own inflation bugs that have thankfully also been resolved, it's a natural downside to building out privacy as the default in these systems.
The important things are:
1. Fixing them quickly
2. Working with stakeholders quickly
3. Being honest and transparent about them so the ecosystem as a whole can learn and improve
All of our node infrastructure is now fully up to date, and an app update is expected today to restore all Zcash functionality.
Thank you for your patience during this, due to the severity of the issue with Zcash's network their hard fork and upgrade were extremely rushed and did not allow for us or other ecosystem stakeholders to start work on compatibility until after the hard fork was already completed.
We'll continue to update here as the app update goes live with this Zcash fix and many more bug fixes and enhancements!
