Since when is Karna a better Archer then Arjuna? He literally got defeated by Chitrasena, Abhimanyu and even Satyaki. Not to mention countless times to Arjuna. Look at what Shiva himself said about Arjun in Mahabharata...
Karna is glorified not because people believe he is hero or good... They know he did some big sins like instigating Draupadi Vastrapaharan... They also know he paid for that in the end... Despite all this
Karna is glorified for following reasons:
1. He is a classic tragic character... Always raises the question of "what if"
2. He was arguably the most powerful archer after Bheeshma... Different matter that he could never display that as he lost many battles due to lack of motivation most of the times and when he was motivated his curses kicked in and of course Madhav did what he had to
3. All this brings relativity for people because normal people are not perfect... Normal people like redemption and benefit of doubt for characters they believe deserve 2nd chances
There is nothing wrong with that
There is a reason why people don't relate like this with any other characters from either Mahabharatam or Ramayanam in terms of redemption or 2nd chances
I’m starting to think the Mayans weren’t predicting the end of the world in 2012. They were just warning us that everything afterward would be incredibly fucking stupid.
Words aren't enough to describe how badly I want to visit the Badami caves. Just spending hours lost in those quiet rock cut chambers and tracing the fresco murals...
@Gargi16191 I blame the old TV serials for this. Most did not even bother giving Ma Sita lines and popularised the image of her as a damsel. She was Ajoniya, Bhumija, and Mahalakshmi, the mother of the universe; wielding a weapon is barely a fraction of her power.
@offsideAni seriously? then how are they going to explain him getting the name Indrajeet? maybe they're keeping it under wraps cause this would be against the basic plot of ramayana
