During May 2024, another 1,000+ children studying at schools with least facilities, located in Anuradhapura district and Ampara district, were benefited through "AthaHitha 2024" social initiative.
"AthaHitha 2024" May program series started at Medagama Primary school at Kekirawa education zone. During the month of Vesak, we hope to award benefits to more than 2,000 children, living at extreme difficult areas of Sri Lanka.
Not many people have heard about "sea veddha" community living in eastern province. They are the relatives of the Mahiyangana indigenous people. Currently, they encounter many socio-economic issues. Policy makers should consider those issues.
