@vfxblog I think the thing that practical does is bring VFX into the realm of moment to moment film making. It becomes a part of the improvisation and spontaneity. CGI in traditional workflows just can’t!
Loving the respect for practical effects showing up lately, puppetry really warms my heart! Blending them with CGI lends both crafts an enhanced realism, hope to see more coming soon!
I get this article but there are probably a lot of CG characters in recent film/TV shows that people don't realise are CG (or a lot of puppetry that is enhanced that people also don't realise has occurred). https://t.co/6SqQ8FpWYJ
@charlesforman I tried a short where I was director, DP, producer and VFX supe all at once and it wasn’t pleasant haha. I think it’s really hard to to comprehend just how valuable mental space is on a time constrained set. All my roles were compromised by the lack of mental space.

Recently worked on this beauty! Had a blast trying to figure out how to make 22 minutes of cinematic cameras engaging and meaningful, truly one of the most challenging and thus rewarding projects I've ever worked on!
