Not an alt, just a much smaller way to do twitter. Amazed if you recognise she/her from pic. Queer lefty feminist, wrestling fan, fat & happy. Bite me.
Hello
Do you earn a living in #sport or #creativeindustries?
Is your work affected by #CoronaOutbreak?
Would you be happy to share your concerns with me so I can make a dossier to give to govt who I think donโt understand precarious nature of #selfemployment
Please share.
@MissCazmataz I get that. Personally, I donโt want to always add to the pressure some people feel to always buy, but thatโs a personal choice and no judgement on anyone else. And crucially - it doesnโt make me โless of a fanโ, which is the rhetoric that worries me a bit.
And if you need that refund, that is absolutely okay. Many individuals/groups will be down in travel and accommodation costs now, and a ticket refund can be very helpful to cushioning the blow of any funds lost. Do not feel guilty if you want/need a refund.
Things that help:
- foremost, be patient and understanding with communication if your refund takes a few/several weeks to be honoured
- refuse a refund, offer it as a donation to the company
- ask for a ticket credit to a future show
- spend your refund on merch
In the wake of the #ScrapperMania6 announcement, I urge everyone to please be understanding and empathetic about refunds.
This has no doubt put OTT out thousands, if not tens of thousands, of euros and that much debt can be fatal to a small company.
@jimsmallman Yesterday I witnessed a pharmacist at Tesco being told they would be responsible for 'many deaths' because there was no hand sanitiser. Some statements are so stupid it's hard to know where to even start with them.
