Karol Nawrocki in 2023:
"I recognize that Ukrainians have the right to choose their own heroes, whether they consider Stepan Bandera (leader of Ukrainian resistance during WW2) or Roman Shukhevych (Commander of UPA) to be heroes. Poles will not be choosing the namesakes for Ukrainian streets."
What changed since 2023?
Ukraine is united and strong despite some Europeans' attempts to stalemate the war to keep Ukraine weak and unstable, and is developing initiative on the battlefield against Russia.
Ukraine's domestic military production is booming.
Ukraine is becoming self-sufficient.
Nawrocki is a Polish nationalist and a Kremlin asset who is threatened by Ukraine's strength.
Poland and Ukraine are neighbors, naturally, they have fought countless wars against each other throughout the bloody European history.
Poland has numerous statues to Poles who massacred Ukrainians, like Stefan Czarniecki, who is literally celebrated in the Polish national anthem. You don't see Ukrainians complaining about it.
As for "helping" with Ukrainian refugees -
Ukraine lost millions of capable, highly-educated, productive people who fled because Europe refused to prevent the invasion of Ukraine. Europe expected Ukraine to collapse in a matter of weeks. All Poland, or any other NATO member had to do was send a few brigades to Ukraine for training and Russia would not have invaded. Instead the US and every single European country ensured Russia understood that Ukraine was alone and abandoned.
The Europeans then opened their arms and gobbled up the millions of fleeing Ukrainians to grow their economies and productivity, making Ukraine even weaker.
We and the Poles cannot be anything but partners and friends because we are neighbors. Hatred within society will only boost certain political ratings. This is a political struggle that could end in very dangerous escalation. Political dividends must not be gained from hatred.
We are defending Poland and Europe right now. Our warriors are dying. Our servicemembers choose a heroic name for their unit themselves, and as President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief, I must support them. Karol said, “You must revoke the decree.”
Beyond these historical issues, which, by the way, we discuss openly, there must also be respect for the present, for our army, and for the future. Without Ukraine, no one will be able to defend Poland. It is simply impossible. If there is no Ukraine, there will be no secure Poland either.

Sława Ukrajini! 🇺🇦
Tam spadają bomby i giną ludzie, tu w ciepełku gość siedzący w otoczeniu przydaczy, pobożych i andruszkiewiczów, podejmuje decyzje skutkujące wieloletnim kryzysem. @Arlukowicz: ja się za Nawrockiego wstydzę.

It seems to me that Poland is stuck in 2022. Ukraine is not the same "fake state" that it used to be. With the strongest military in Europe comes a higher level of respect and responsibilities
@LukaszzChojecki Do you really think that the strongest military in Europe will just bend over the arrogance of some Polish president? It's not 2022 anymore
@wolski_jaros I would like to see what happens if Ukraine just decides to let Russian tanks cross the Polish border instead of being destroyed on the frontline
🇱🇺🇦 FM Sybiha: We are recording the growth of anti-Ukrainian sentiments in Poland. Ukrainians are being attacked, humiliated, children are being bullied in schools.
Nawrocki acted as a destroyer of the positive developments that we have achieved recently. It is not for nothing that he receives applause from Moscow.
We will mirror all steps, especially if these steps are unfriendly, contemptuous of our country. The time for not noticing is over.
We talk every day with our Polish friends about how to preserve the diplomatic track.
@pawkleczek@Tatarigami_UA I don't see ballistic missiles destroying Warsaw every month. Only one side bleeds against the common enemy while the other side cannot enjoy its peace without internal baby politicical circues
❗️No president of another country will ever again dictate our history to us. Disrespect for the President of Ukraine is not just a matter of honours. It is a matter of disrespect for Ukrainian soldiers and the Ukrainian people. We will not tolerate this, — Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha
To repeat. The biggest mistake in modern European political history was that we forgave the communists in 1989, instead of putting them and their ideology on trial for their crimes.
