Women are messed up and perceive nice as weak. That’s the short answer.

Long answer: a guy that is mean to them they perceive as strong, dangerous, and a challenge (all elicit attraction)

It’s fundamental survival biology. Women psychologically are motivated/attracted to guys that can protect and provide. This is so they feel safe and secure. It’s driven by a need also to insure any future baby is safe and secure.

When a guy is nice to them, they register it as weak. He is too nice, guard is too down, he can’t protect me and baby. A guy is nice he is makes things too easy, maybe it’s a trick or a trap, not attractive.

Now here is jerk asshole - he’s mean he can protect me. I just need to get him to like me… chase chase attraction attraction… oh no he’s still mean to me I am miserable I hate men…but I love him… but he hits me…he does it because he loves me.

It’s honestly how they think. 🤷‍♂️. They don’t really process that someone nice can turn into a monster and protect them if it is needed, they don’t think that far in advance, it’s just off of the initial feeling which is nice but weak.
